NEW LIGHT POTTERY

Stunning Japan-Made Contemporary Lighting From This Nara-Based Studio

December, 2021

Taking inspiring from the historical beauty of the old and merging it with the new, an inevitable culmination of something original appears when looking at the designs of Nara-based lighting manufacturer New Light Pottery. Founded by Hiroyuki Nagatomi and Chizu Nara in 2015, the company’s lighting can be spotted across some of Japan’s contemporary design hotels, restaurant and commercial facilities, with their minimalist and sleek designs perfectly complimenting any space. The studio works across the entire scope of planning and designing to manufacturing, ensuring quality and Japanese craftsmanship is in place — each piece as desirable as the other. The company has recently opened a new showroom gallery for visitors to Nara, where all their designs can be viewed and purchased in a minimalist space designed by ninkipen!
